DESCRIPTION:The main lawn area of the community garden\, which is used throughout the summer for events\, picnics\, recreation and enjoyment of the garden itself\, requires attention this winter so that it will be at its best in the spring. Cambridge City Council’s SOS Volunteering will be helping us remove weeds from the lawn on Saturday January 7th from 10.00 to 14.00. The more people from the community who can come along\, even if only for a short time\, the quicker the job will get done. Hand forks and buckets will be provided\, or bring your own. DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss our Christmas event!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🎅🏻 Santa is coming to town!\n\n\n\n\n\nSanta is touring Trumpington and will be passing by the Community Garden sometimes around 4pm and 5pm. \n\n\n\nDon’t be too impatient with the time\, his flight plan is really packed during the Christmas preparations! \n\n\n\nFor more details on the route and timings at other locations visit the Trumpington Meadows website. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🔥 Bonfire\, roasted marshmallows and mulled wine!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo keep warm and entertained\, we will wait for the sleigh around a bonfire\, roasting marshmallows\, and enjoying homemade mulled wine. \n\n\n\nAll of this is free and arranged by our volunteers\, and the businesses working with us always support us greatly. Donations can also be made in cash and by card on site\, and always online on our donation page. \n\n\n\nOur loyal Emma and her Beanissimo coffee cart will also be around to serve hot drinks and keep us hydrated! \n\n\n\n\n\n📸 Christmas photography mini sessions\n\n\n\n\n\nOne of the most popular presents with families are customised greeting cards\, family calendars and other photo memories. \n\n\n\nDon’t miss the opportunity to have your professional Christmas photo session taken! DESCRIPTION:Sold Out \n\n\n\nOn Sunday October 30th join us at the Community Garden for an afternoon of fun carving pumpkins!🎃🎃🎃 with special guest Pimp My Fish \n\n\n\nWe will have two separate sessions: \n\n\n\n11:00 to 12:0014:00 to 15:00 \n\n\n\nAlthough this season we managed to successfully grow only one pumpkin\, we still wanted to repeat the great pumpkin carving tradition we started last year. \n\n\n\nAll money raised will go towards funding the Garden – a space that the whole community can enjoy!Pricing is £5 per child. \n\n\n\nAdd £2 if you would like to carve our very own community-grown pumpkins.Only 1 available! \n\n\n\nThis event is particularly thought for children\, so safe tools are used. Adults are welcome too\, of course. \n\n\n\nImportant: Minimum age is 5. The event will be indoor\, so no need to reschedule in case of bad weather. Parents are to remain with their children.
