A Summer from pouring rain to burning heat

Extremes of weather meant that our planned group of Employee Volunteers was unable to come to help with some garden projects at the end of June. They always contribute enormously to the maintenance of the Garden. We hope they can reschedule soon.

Although groups are most welcome and do outstanding work, we do need more regular volunteers. Some of our regulars will soon depart for “fresh fields and pastures new”. We wish them all well in their future lives and hope others can help to fill the empty space in our hearts they leave behind.

Speak to a volunteer if you are able to join our regular volunteers. Thursdays are the best time to speak to us – either in the morning from 10am or in the evening after 5pm. Even a small amount of your time makes a huge difference. Whether for watering, mowing, strimming or joining other volunteers to garden, chat and drink tea together. It is a great way to meet your neighbours.

Our fresh produce is donated to the local food club to help to feed those neighbours in most need. The Garden is unfunded and cared for by unpaid volunteers.
