We are a group of local people getting together to develop, manage and maintain a community garden, at Clay Farm, Trumpington, which is located on Hobson Avenue. We also work with and involve other local growing groups.
You can read about the history of the garden here:
The community garden offers a great opportunity for people in Trumpington to contribute, along with other volunteers, to the maintenance and development, of this beautiful space which is open to all 24 hrs/day. It is divided into East and West of Hobson Avenue.
We have raised beds, wide paths, lawns, a small greenhouse connected to the garden building, a pond, lush borders with a wide variety of plants and a large vegetable patch, which most of the harvested produced is donated to Trumpington Food Hub, and also a community feasting table which was funded and installed during Summer 2024.
The garden building has a fully functioning meeting room which we use for garden related meetings and activities, such as the AGM. There is an accessible toilet in the building when the building is open.
We also host Thursday Garden Parties during the warmer months each year, which gives the community the chance to meet, sit out in the garden and enjoy a picnic or food from guest food trucks. Plus, we have other events and activities taking place throughout the year, so do check out our calendar.
Our AGM is open to all residents. View Clay Farm Community Garden Group’s constitution and latest AGM minutes of meeting below.
We always welcome new people to join our team of volunteers. All ages and levels of experience. Please see our “Get Involved” page for more information.
If you have any enquiries about the garden or would like to join our community, please get in touch by email or join our Garden Info Whatsapp Group and leave a message.
