Charles Rivers volunteers do a great job working in the Garden

On Friday 4th August,  we were joined in the community garden by a volunteer group from Charles Rivers.

They cleared the swale, where the grass was over half a metre tall, planted 200 lavenders to make a border along the main path, and put other plants, donated by generous local gardeners, in the west garden borders.

They had a good day, dodged the showers – retiring to the store to start on the repair and restoration of our picnic table. We thank them all for their time and effort, making a valuable contribution to the look of the Garden.
