On Friday August 2nd, a team from Charles River spent the day in the community garden, clearing the west garden and swale.
The job was to follow up after the Council cut the swale and wild garden by raking and strimming out all the dead undergrowth. Then, the whole area was cut by the mower and all cuttings removed because wildflower garden areas need nutrient poor soil.
Thank you Charles River volunteers for your hard work, it was a great productive day by all.
