This week Plantstyle have completed the seeding of the grass in the whole of the Western side of the garden. This officially concludes the works planned until the cycle path joining the Busway will be installed.
Our great Group of volunteers has now started moving a lot of plants that were kept “on hold” until works were completed. We have also started planting some vegetables in the vegetable beds!
As the grass grows, for a few weeks, we would like to ask everyone to keep to the paths and avoid walking on the bare soil. It won’t be long until we will have an amazing lawn that will be able to host picnics.
Finally, this week also marked the final release of the Clay Farm Allotments, and tenants have started cultivating their plots. This is exciting times as a lot of people have been waiting for years to have an allotment. You can read more and join the waiting list for a plot on the Council’s Website.
