On Sunday 12th January we celebrated the old tradition of Wassailing. A large crowd met up in the Trumpinton Community Orchard to feed apple juice to the fruit trees and hang toast soaked in juice on their branches to encourage them to produce a good crop next year. This was followed by a procession to the Community Garden where we wassailed our fruit trees. There was very welcome hot mulled apple juice to drink and singing and dancing to traditional songs played the Lord of Misrule and other musicians.

Seedy Sunday, which is organised annually by the Trumpington Allotment Society, was held at the Village Hall on Sunday 26th January. Volunteers from the Community Garden attended and talked to people about the garden and swopped or handed out surplus seeds. There were some very complimentary comments about how beautiful the Garden looks.
