Hedging and prepping the lawn ready for summer picnics

Thank you to Ian from the Council Open Spaces team and his volunteers and all the local volunteers (11 in all) who braved a damp and windy Saturday morning to dig out the Prickly Oxtongue and other deep-rooted plants from the West lawn.

Thank you also to those few individuals who have been working to complete the hedging over the last few weeks. Just a little more to do still!

It is amazing what can be accomplished when everyone works together for even a short time – punctuated by coffee and chat! Anyone who can give just a little of their time to maintaining your lovely garden throughout the year please come and join us at one of our future events.
