The pergola framework to enable plants to grow up and over the feasting table and provide shade in the summer and enhance the experience of sitting at the table, has now been installed and we are preparing to plant!
July has been a busy month for our faithful volunteers. Lack of rain driven by the ever more obvious changes to the climate, has made our job of keeping the Garden productive and thriving much harder. But , with their help we have continued to supply the local Food Hub (Fairbite) at Trumpington Pavilion with fresh produce every week.
July saw the first of 3 visits by the ever-popular “Connected Lives” who enjoy their summer events for parents and young children in the Garden. 2 more follow in August, check the posters at the Garden or Library.
Our AGM will take place in October and all who are interested in the Garden are invited to come along, find out more about us and hear about our plans for autumn and winter events. We promise this will be brief!
